This data was constructed using producer prices from the CRB Commodity Yearbook, using the Carnegie Mellon University Green Design Institute’s EIO-LCA model.  The life cycle of these foods have been evaluated from cradle-to-gate, which does not include the impact of distribution, refrigeration, cooking, or disposal.  Click here for a detailed report of the assumptions and methodologies used in our calculations.
